The low-growing grass varieties in this Bermudagrass grass seed offer improved cold tolerance over ordinary Bermudagrass varieties. That's on top of exceptional heat, drought and traffic tolerance that Bermuda is known for. This combination extends the suitability of this warm-season grass into more moderate climates, including the transition zone. This grass seed will thrive in lawns that receive 8+ hours of daily sun. Plant it in the spring or early summer and see results within 14 to 21 days. A 1 lb bag covers up to 1000 sq-ft for overseeding an existing lawn and 500 sq-ft for starting a new lawn from scratch.
